Week In Review
Monday, May 25th, 2009
Week three of May saw a mixed bag. The Canadian and European stock benchmarks continue to rally, while International and US stocks declined.
Canadian banks will begin to release 2nd quarter profit numbers this week, and the long-awaited GDP number for quarter 1 in Canada is going to be released this Friday. Expectations are that the GDP number is going to be one of the worst quarters on record at an annualized decline of around 6% (it was -6.1% in the US).
