We are actually off by a day with these numbers because of the holiday on Monday. Our Canadian stock benchmark played catch-up on Tuesday following a big trading day on Wall Street on Monday. Both Canada and Europe grew in excess of 3% yesterday.
In other economic news, Canadian inflation numbers were released yesterday showing inflation at 0.4%. Coincidentally, this is the lowest it’s been since the 1994…..the end of the last recession. Core inflation which is what the Bank of Canada uses to set interest rate policy stands at 1.8%.
