Executive Vice President, Senior Financial Planner

Born in Halifax, Dean graduated from Dalhousie University with a degree in Commerce, majoring in Finance.  Putting his academic credentials to excellent use, Dean began his investment career in 1987 and has held the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ for over 24 years.  From 1989 to 1993, he was the Principal of Horizon Financial Services and  has held numerous executive positions with many financial institutions in Halifax including Manulife Financial/Manulife Securities as Financial Advisor and Sales Manager.  He most recently held the prestigious position of District Vice President of RBC Global Asset Management for Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.  Previous to this appointment, he was their Regional Sales Manager for the Atlantic and Ottawa regions from 2001 to 2008.  Dean brought this wealth of experience to Craig & Taylor Associates in February 2011.  He shares the company’s vision with great passion and enthusiasm.

Dean’s deep commitment to his field, his enthusiastic initiatives, breadth of knowledge and experience have made him a formidable speaker all over Canada.  Throughout his outstanding career, his diligent work has been recognized with many industry awards.

Dean is a founding member and Vice President of the National Capital Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation, a member of the Ottawa Humane Society and raised funds to support our Canadian Olympic athletes though the Gold Medal Plate Dinner fundraiser.
